How to use AdWords Automated Rules and not break into tears

 AdWords Automated Rules is a new AdWords feature by Google. It allows advertisers to create rules that automatically adjust bids or budget limits whenever certain conditions are met. For example you can set it to decrease keyword maxCPC by 20% every time avg. CPC exceeds certain value and let it run every Sunday.

As cool as this sounds, AAR is a double-edged sword. On one hand it can be beneficial to automate bidding processes, but on the other hand, when used incorrectly, it can completely sabotage your campaign.
